Eataly at Terra Madre Salone del Gusto – A Party among the Stars and Much More

A  Slow Party featuring Michelin-starred dishes, music, circus performances, workshops and tours, but also more Taste Workshops, Dinner Dates and important projects such as Bee the Future.

Eataly at Terra Madre Salone del Gusto. For those of you unable to grab a spot or make it to our Dinner Dates, Eataly will offer the special occasion to taste Michelin Star chef creations at their party celebrating gastronomy, Thursday, September 20th.

 Eataly Slow Party will be an incredible event transforming the ex-Carpano factory into a stage where the stars will be excellent Italian food and wine, producers, Michelin chefs of Piedmont, circus performers and many more surprises waiting to be discovered.

There are two options offered for the night:

  • the experience of Michelin starred dishes, including creations by Casa Vicina, Del Cambio, Guido, La Ciau del Tornavento, l’Enoteca di Canale and il Cascinale Nuovo, reserve your spot here;

Dinner with Moreno Cedroni

A Dinner Date for September 24 highlighting the excellent seafood dishes and creativity of Moreno Cedroni. In A Journey Through Time, Moreno shares a 34 year long journey through praised dishes of Madonnina del Pescatore, his restaurant found in Senigallia,  in a continuous fusion between two equally incisive forces: creativity and tradition.

  •  12:00 Shaped by Seasons: Modena’s Balsamic Vinegar
    A meeting with an alchemist, participants will taste four different balsamic vinegar, paired with four different gastronomic offers.
  •  15:00 Whiskey and Cheese from the British Isles
    To get to know one of the most classic and at the same time unusual combinations, a marriage of love between the noble distillates and the milk of the green British pastures. The selection of five Scottish and Irish whiskeys is organized by Whiskey Club Italia, while raw milk cheeses are selected by Neal’s Yard Dairy.
  • 18:00 Barbera, The Diversity of Barbera
    A taste workshop designed to compare the differences between the Langa and Monferrato versions of Barbera. The team from Asti is captained by the king of Barbera, Giacomo Bologna who with his selections has conquered the world, Cascina Castlèt and Luigi Spertino; for the Langhe,  Gianfranco Alessandria, the Tenute di Mirafiore and Ca ‘Viola.

  •  12:00 God Save the Beer, Britain’s Brewing Traditions
    Many beers are built on their alcoholic level, on the body’s richness and on the breadth of the sip: barleywine, imperial stout, old ale are just some of the examples that can be done and are discovered in a rich workshop dedicated to the United Kingdom.
  • 15:00 Norwegian Raw Milk Cheese, Cider, and Kveik Beer
    Norwegian raw-milk cheeses, including the Slow Food Presidia of the craft geitost of the Sogne fjord and the pultost of the Hedmark and Oppland counties, combined with beer produced from the typical kevir yeast and apple cider produced along the Hardanger Sogne fjords.

Monday, September 24 

  • 12:00 Form and Substance: Agnolotti according to Ugo Alciati and Walter Ferretto
    Michelin Starred Agnolotti compared: the classic plin di Alba meets the gobbi di Asti.
  • 15:00 All black Lentil!
    We’ll present the black lentils of the new Slow Food Presidium cooked by Il gelso nero restaurant from Barrafranc: lentil soup with Robiola, girgentina almond and snail caviar, Black lentils spiced,  with shrimp, guanciale, and stracciatella di burrata. Paired with the Sicilian wines of Tasca d’Almerita.

The Projects

Finally, Eataly is an official supporter of Slow Food Italia and a Slow Food partner in some special projects that will be highlighted  at Terra Madre, promoted by Arcoiris, Eataly and Slow Food, a major project involving 100 farmers from all over Italy involved in introducing biological mixtures of melliferous plants (marigold, mallow, cornflowers …) in intensive agricultural areas (such as corn, hazel, vine monocultures), protagonist of the forum Plant more Flowers, Thursday 20 to 13 in Sala Azzurra.
