The Vegetarian Option

Torino-Lingotto Fiere

Vegetarians, vegans and fruitarians are on the rise all over the world.

Their choice is determined by ethical reasons and respect for animals, by the desire to protect the environment, by their attention to health and well-being, even by religious choices. This will be a Forum dedicated to gaining deeper understanding of these choices, to learn about related projects and, to investigate possible meeting points between those who have completely renounced meat and those who choose to eat less, paying attention to its quality.

Speakers:

  • Leonardo Caffo, Italy, philosopher;
  • Piero Sardo, Italy, president of the Slow Food Foundation for biodiversity;
  • Pietro Leemann, Italy, Michelin Star chef;
  • Piero Bevilacqua, Italy, writer, essayist, author of “La mucca è savia”;
  • Richard McCarthy, USA, Slow Food USA Executive director.

Moderator: Rocco Moliterni, Italy, journalist La Stampa.

The Terra Madre thematic Forums are presented by delegates of the network and are open to the public as long as seats are available.

Priority entrance reserved for delegates. Access requires registration on site.
