  • Among the stands of the Terra Madre Salone del Gusto Earth market, the students of UNISG are ready to be your personal shoppers! Creating a taylor made tour to find the best products for everyones tastes and needs;
  • Out through the streets of Turin, by bike or foot, try all the flavors of the city with UNISG twice a day every day of Salone del Gusto  Those of Bik n Eat were inspired by the organization SlowRoll in Detroit and The Bike Republic of Turin.  The walk n Eat tours will be a trip through art , traditions, and piedmontese tastes.
  •  and more, for the younger visitors, but also for adults that aren’t ready to stop playing, there are two Scavengar hunts waiting at Lingotto.  The scavenger hunt for juniors, every day at 4pm designed to let children explore all the most interresting details of the Markets products. The  senior scavenger hunt will be From friday to sunday, a team event to discover products in a whole new way.

Breakfast and aperitivo with producers

From Friday to Sunday at 10:30AM at the UNISG stand you’ll have the chance to welcome the day at the Market with a Breakfast with a producer. Every day a different producer will be in the spotlight: from Infused Colombian chocolate and Sicilian marmalades, from the sweets of Francesca Molo to the raw goats’ milk cheeses.

On Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, at 7:30, there will be the chance to share an aperitivo with a producer. Fom the Vermouth of Tenuta Saiano, to the Sicilian conserves of Fratelli Ferrante up to the craft beers of Balabiott paired with the cheeses of Cascinassa. The perfect finish to your day at the Market, or the perfect start to a visit out to the Piazzale of Street Food.

Often the workshops will be presented by UNISG students and alumni, that wish to highlight their knowledge acquired from there studies.  These will be offered daily, but we’ve decided to highlight a few here. To everyone passionate about bread, how to develop and maintain and use different types of yeast. Also another meeting for those passonate about mixology, Elisabeth Wittich will demonstrate the necessary tools and drink preparation, more than 13 categoies of cocktails based on the Cocktalilian book, then it will be time to take the shaker in hand!  Four Categories and four drinks!

Presentations and Stories

A beautiful experience to listen to the alumni of UNISG share there activites , their new lives post-university.  One example The many sides of Chocolate Anika Wallanee and Ivo Häfliger retell the story of cacao from the plant to plate, bean to bar, sharing even a taste.

Professors and Students also took part in organizing conferences and meetings on various topics. To highligh one, the meeting with the Buddhist nun Ven. Jeongkwan, who presents her conception of “nature, human and food” through her life in the hermitage of Cheonjinam. Or the one dedicated to Food for Inclusion (https://salonedelgusto.com/event/food-for-inclusion/), Unisg and Unhcr project aimed at refugees.

Many many dinners. The first focused on social and realizzed by a group of young refugees involving the project Food for Inclusion, which will take place at the Bistrot Condividere at Nuvola Lavazza. This event will be open for reservations online, directly on this site.
